Happy Friday eve! ☺️ I have lots of wedding updates for you guys, and I can’t wait to share them all! So grab your coffee or wine and get comfy, this is a semi long post!
Our wedding isn’t until next May, but we are pretty much finished planning already. It sounds like everything is under control, but actually we have a lot of smaller details to take care of still. However, I feel really calm knowing the list of things to be done and am actually really excited to work on them! One thing I am really looking forward to is making our welcome sign and bridesmaid gifts. Here are some inspiration pictures for what I want our welcome sign to look like…
This one is my absolute favorite because I love all the flowers! I’m going to ask if Cory or my dad can build the frame and I’ll fill it in with the flowers 😊.
While we were budgeting out the wedding, we realized little things like save the dates and invitations can really add up. (seriously like a couple hundred dollars 😲). We talked things through and decided to make our own and print them ourselves. This was the best decision for us (one because I’m SUPER picky) and I think they turned out really cute! Luckily, since I have been using adobe software with school, I was able to create different mock ups for us to look over. We ended up going with the one shown below, it was our favorite! I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out. We used one of our engagement pictures as the background and began adding the flowers around the frame and the perfect fonts! The script font took me forever to pick because there are so many options and each one is a slightly different. I love how this one feels a little more contemporary and not as squiggly as others can be😂.
Here were some of our other save the date options that we came up with. I really liked them all, but there was something about the one we picked that stood out to us. I can’t decide if I should try to start making save the dates for other couples and add them to my etsy shop – what do you guys think?
Secondly, linked below is the dress I wore in our engagement pictures! It’s a wrap dress, super flowy and, lightweight. I got it off amazon for only $32! I also bought a similar dress in blue for $21. It’s the same wrap dress style with a different pattern, but still super flowy and soft.
I have some really exciting wedding updates to share soon, but for now let me know if you have any questions!
