Happy Sunday! This week is going to be extra busy because the wedding is 5 DAYS AWAY!!! I am still trying to wrap my head around it, but I am full of excitement!😄 Keep an eye out for another #weddingwednesday post this week featuring the one and only…CORY, my soon to be husband🤍 I wanted to get this post up before all the wedding craziness and jitters come. Today I wanted to relax and talk about some amazing life updates!

First things first, I GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE! On May 1st I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with my bachelors degree in interior design and minors in fine arts! It is such a surreal feeling to finally be out of school after 7 years (yes, that’s right I said 7).

Next up, on June 7th I will be beginning a full time position as an interior designer with a firm located right here in Cincinnati. 🥳 The firm is called Legacy Builders Group and it is honestly so much fun to work there – here is their Instagram!

Actually, I’ve been working with Legacy since last August part time. So here’s the story, UC requires you to do co-ops (these are basically internships) and I had to complete one more my last year of school. Well, due to the pandemic all co-ops were cancelled because a lot of firms just didn’t have the work. This was were I started to panic because I could not afford not to work at least part time but nothing was open! I started asking for nannying and babysitting jobs on Facebook, I was desperate! Out of the blue, a familiar face from my church reached out about a job opening at a design firm, saying he saw my post about looking for a part time job on Facebook and wanted to see if I was interested. Guys, you have no idea how excited I was, I scheduled an interview and the rest is history! Having my final co-op be canceled was seriously a hiccup blessing because not only was I able to work again, but it’s turned into a full time position! ☺️☺️

The picture above was taken on my first day at Legacy in their old building! We’ve since moved locations!

Fast forward to recently, Legacy has done everything to make me feel welcomed into the firm. It is such a family oriented workplace and I have felt nothing but respect from the day I stepped foot into their building. Even when I started back in August and was still in school, they wanted to hear my ideas and incorporated little old me into important decisions. I can’t say it enough, I’m so happy!!

Sorry guys, I know this is a long blog post, but I promise I’m almost done talking 😂 Last Thursday Legacy through me a bridal shower with everyone from work and it was so sweet of them to be so thoughtful! Here are some pictures from the shower!

One of the absolute best things about it was the cupcakes! They were made by Goodies By Grace, and they were DELICIOUS! Check out her Instagram here. How thoughtful was Grace for adding a ring to a cupcake just for me! She is so sweet and her work is amazing, make sure to message her if you are looking for any yummy sweets🍰🎂🧁

If you read all of this, thank you! I am one strong believer in the saying “everything happens for a reason” and my story is proof that sometimes a stressful situation can turn into a true blessing!

Thanks and have a great rest of the weekend🤍🤍

*Another final thanks to Legacy Builders Group and Goodies By Grace
