A LOOK BACK IN 2020

2021! I am so excited for the new year, but I would love to take a minute to reflect. I know 2020 had high expectations, but this year did not go the way many of us had planned. This year provided many obstacles, but it’s always nice to look back and find pockets of peace and gratitude. Here’s a look back at some of my favorite moments captured in 2020!

I had to include this picture because I posted it on January 1st. On New Year’s Day, I posted this picture of Cory and I. GUYS, this is a little creepy that I used the filter that gave us masks, and I posted it on the first day of 2020. It’s almost as if Snapchat knew what was about to happen.

I opened my Etsy shop when the coronavirus hit when I unfortunately lost my job. This hiccup turned into an amazing blessing!

My niece turned 2 this year! (this was also the day before we got engaged! โค๏ธ) I promise she was having fun, but this picture makes it look like I’m torturing her ๐Ÿ˜‚. On another note, this dress I’m wearing is one of my favorites! It’s extra comfy and looks cute!

On May 30th Cory proposed! We got engaged at Devou Park in Covington, Kentucky – Seriously the best day of my life!๐Ÿค

I went wedding dress shopping with my mom, sister, niece, and Cory’s mom, and I found my dress at Bridal and Formal!

We started a massive renovation in our backyard! Our patio was in need of a total face lift, this is what it looks like currently. We plan to finish the patio next summer, Iโ€™ll be sure to share pictures when we get everything done ๐Ÿค—

In August we had our engagement pictures done! I wrote a little recap about them here

I started a new part time job with Legacy Builder’s Group as I finished my final year of school.

I started my very own blog! Something I’ve been wanting to do for years and finally pulled the trigger. It has been so much fun writing posts and having a creative outlet to share with everyone!

My family and I went to Cottell Park to see all the beautiful sunflowers! This was just the ray of sunshine we needed during quarantining ๐ŸŒป

Cory and I went camping with my entire family for my sister’s 30th birthday. You can read the post about it here! This was the perfect escape and was so nice being with all my loves.

I was given the opportunity to become an ambassador for a coffee shop called Coffee Over Cardio. Use my code 10mcroemer for 10% off every purchase!

My best friend got married in October! I wrote an lengthy post about her wedding, and it was my most popular post from this year! It was truly the biggest blessing watching her marry the love of her life, and I can’t wait for her to be my bridesmaid next year ๐Ÿ’•

Cory had his 25th birthday! I can’t believe I met my bug when he was only 15 years old and now we are getting married next year! Also, isn’t he just the cutest in this picture? โ˜บ๏ธ

On Halloween, Cory and I dressed up as Burt Macklin and Janet Snakehole from Parks and Recreation!

My beautiful bridesmaids, mom, and I all went shopping and found bridesmaid dresses for the wedding๐Ÿฅ‚I canโ€™t wait for you guys to see them!๐Ÿค๐Ÿค

Celebrated our first and only engaged Christmas!๐Ÿ’

Since it was a small Christmas this year, we decided to build and decorate gingerbread houses. I think this has to be part of our yearly tradition ๐ŸŽ„

When I look back and see all the wonderful memories, I can’t help but think WHAT A YEAR! I’m challenging everyone to pick out the highlights from their year and let me know in the comments! All in all, I can say I am truly blessed looking at these photos and seeing all the people that I have in my life.

I can’t wait to reach all the goals I’m setting for myself in 2021. First is being with my future husband! I am so ready to create a strong foundation for our family to build upon. It is only me, him, and the dog, but we are looking forward to one day starting a family!

I want to be more optimistic in the future. I’ve realized I can be a very negative person, and it affects the people I’m around. I need to learn how to deal with it in a healthy way, whether that means exercising more, journaling, or not letting the little things upset me. I need to enjoy the heck out of my life and soak up every second. I don’t want to look back and regret, I want to be present every. single. day.

Lastly, I want to say a HUGE thank you to every person who has supported me and continuing to do so. I sincerely love you all and could not be where I am without any of you!

Happy New Year to all! From the bottom of my heart, here’s to living in the moment in 2021!

Cheers,

xoxo – Michelle
